On the 9th of November 2012, the Military School of Paris hold the “Farewell” symposium. This famous operation allowed in the 1980’s to reveal the connections and thousands of documents of the operational unit in the West of the KGB. Historians (Olivier Fourcade), journalists (Daniel Vernet, former reporter in Moscow for the newspaper Le Monde), academics (Bertrand Warusel), professionals (Raymond Nart, former senior official of the French internal security services, DST) and industrials (Daniel Grout with McAfee) discussed in front of more than 700 people including many students the geopolitical consequences of this tremendous success for the French intelligence service.
