Covivo

Covivo has been a car-pooling expert since 2009. At a time when municipalities strive to cut traffic and private vehicles are made less and less necessary for city-dwellers, car-share has become increasingly popular, especially since digital technologies have helped develop a wide range of car-pooling solutions.

Unlike its competitors, Covivo focuses on short and middle distance commutes as well as on a real-time service, two features that best meet users’ everyday needs. However, it does not only cater to private individuals, but also to businesses and local authorities, which can use a specific platform to design their own alternative transport solutions.

Led by its founders Marc Grojean and Matthieu Jacquot, Covivo puts a strong emphasis on its values: sustainable mobility and solidarity. The company has already been rewarded for its social and ecological commitment; its holds a number of environment and social entrepreneurship awards, such as the New European Consumer Award, the Smart Entrepreneur Award and the Regional Mobility Exemplary Business Award.

Four years after its creation, the fledgling company has already over 30,000 users, including many businesses and local governments. A young, innovative company, it is supported by BFI-France (formerly Oséo), a French public investment bank.
